"The intense light and color of the New Mexico and Colorado landscapes are my inspiration to paint. Deep purples glow through the shadows in this starkly beautiful area of the country. I often begin my oils with a background of transparent glowing purple that peeks through the thick impasto texture of surface colors.
Primarily self-taught, I have studied with artists including Don Sahli, Nancy Frost Begin, and Maryann Linhart. I love to experiment with new techniques and materials, always striving to push the boundaries of color and texture."
